Dyed by women and woven by men, it measures approximately 27" by 26.5" and is striking in person. The Kuba (Bakuba) people are renowned for their intricate fabric-making process involving the entire family. Each piece undergoes soaking, beating, hand-scraping, and careful working to achieve its distinctive silk-like texture and fine quality. See less
