The chair … Read more This elegant Mid-Century Modern armchair and ottoman set was designed by Roger Sprunger for Dunbar Furniture circa 1963. The chair model number is 484. The armchair features a high back with sloped arms that sits on tapered black lacquered walnut legs. The ottoman shape is tapered as well and has a slight slope. This shapely chair and ottoman are newly upholstered in a soft oatmeal cotton linen weave contrasting nicely with the black lacquered walnut base and legs. The attached ample cushions provide ultimate comfort to a timeless and elegant design. The ottoman measures 21.5 - 25" w x 22" d x 16.5" ht. The set is not marked.

In addition to designing for Dunbar, Roger Sprunger also designed a collection for Herman Miller called the "Action Office". His designs have also been used on sets for Star Trek: The Next Generation. See less
