A "Cleopatra" bowl designed by Swedish artist Ulrica Hydman (1938-2018) for Swedish glass company Kosta Boda. The small bowl has a light blue exterior with a dark blue interior. A red snake is wrapped around the rim of the bowl. The bowl is marked “8 UHVAT 955006/500 Kosta Boda Atelier” to the underside and has a Kosta Boda sticker to top edge.
Ulrica Hydman Vallien specialized in stained glass and spent some time working for Kosta Boda. She was one of only 50 artists to be selected in designing pieces for British Airways. Today, her work in found in museums worldwide, including the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Detroit Institute of Art, and more.
