Beautiful vintage Chinese painted folding screen depicting scene with buildings, pine trees and blossoming cherry trees, young people flying kites, and mountains and river on the dark gold background. The details are impeccably done and have beautiful pops of color. Gouache, watercolor and ink on paper over boards. Lacquered brown wood frame with metal corners showing age patina. Hand painted paper on back. China, circa 1940-1950s. Very Good condition for age - minor age wear to the painting with no damage; some age wear on frame and back; cosmetic restoration between the panels, repairs on hinges, clean, sturdy.
