The … Read more Chinese porcelain dragon meiping, deep midnight blue glaze on the body and cover, turquoise glazed interior and inset base. The removable cover has a peach finial and an unglazed interior and is decorated in polychrome, stylized clouds and flames. The decoration of the neck repeats the clouds and flames, and continues with a meander border bracketed by two fine trim rings below and ending in a band of blue and pink Ru Yi lappets. The body decoration has five, finely drawn, five clawed dragons amid stylized clouds and flames, all in low relief, with a stylized, blue and white, ocean waves border at the foot. A blue and white, Yongzheng Yuzhi reign mark within double circles is glazed to the deep inset base. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century. See less
