Item: Jwagyeong, Folding Mirror Box With Drawer.

Period: Late 20th century.
Style: Chugcheong Do (Pattern and attributes characteristic of the province).
Materials: Pine wood, Zeldova wood veneers, brass hardware.
Description: Offered is a folding or collapsible mirror box with a single drawer, features lacquered Zeldova wood veneers over mahogany stained Pine wood, antique finish brass latch-hinges-corner plate hardware incised with a floral motif, rests on a sculpted apron base.
Measures: 10 L x 14 W x 9.5 H closed (18 H open) inches.
Approximate weight: 13 pounds, 1.1 ounce.
Provenance: Property from the Evelyn and John Lockton Collection, the Koshland Estate, 130 Reservoir Road, Hillsborough, CA. The home was designed and named after fashion titan, former Levi Strauss & Co. President, Daniel Koshland in 1961.
