Introduced in 1959, the f156 is the smaller version of oyster series. Unlike the larger and more common f157, the f156 was produced for a shorter period, was never reissued, and is therefore significantly rarer on the collectors’ market today. This example is an authentic early edition, true to the original mid-century specifications.

the chair features characteristic sculptural shell, offering an open, embracing form while remaining visually light. The elegantly curved seat rests on its original nickel-plated steel frame, a hallmark of early artifort production.
