Created between 1967 and 1974, these bold, graphically striking works are direct interpretations of ancient Maya stelae, glyphs, and ceremonial figures — executed with Canul’s distinctive modernist sensibility and vibrant color palette.

This set includes:

1. “Mayan Priest with Incense Burner” – 1967
Limited edition 18/25, hand-signed and numbered in pencil. Dramatic black-on-cream design on dark blue background. One of the earliest and most sought-after Canul editions.

2. “Seated Maya Warrior/Deity” – 1974
Hand-signed in pencil, striking yellow background with deep purple/red figure. Classic Canul composition.

3. “Serpents/Fish Panorama” – 1967
Horizontal composition in black on turquoise blue, hand-signed and dated. Excellent condition.

4. “Standing Maya Warrior with Headdress” – 1974
Hand-signed variant in yellow with deep red/purple figure. Strong graphic presence.

All four prints are pencil-signed by the artist and dated. The signatures, handwriting style, paper type, and printing characteristics have been carefully examined and match known authentic examples from this exact period (1967-1974). One print is from the very small edition of only 25 impressions.

Professionally framed in period-appropriate mats and simple wood frames with glass (ready to hang). The frames show minor age but are stable and present beautifully.
