A lovely piece of signed art glass in an "Agate" pattern of beautiful shades of pink, green and blue by Robert Eickholt, signed and dated 2003 "VSTAG" on the base.
Robert Eickholt, a noted American glass artist, studied glass blowing in Berkeley, California, Ohio State University and the Columbus College of Art and Design. He founded Eickholt Glass studio in Columbus, Ohio in 1978 specializing in incorporating precious metals and oxides into his pieces. Eickholt retired in 2013.
Purchased in Mendocino, CA at the Highlight Gallery in July 2003.
A substantial and beautiful piece; decorative wooden stand included.
