Pair of mid-century metal repoussé bookends, hand-wrought by Bruce Fox artisans. The fronts feature a mallard taking flight over a cattail banked pond; the back and underside are lined with tan felt to protect book covers and furniture surfaces. Heavy construction to securely hold heavy volumes. Bear the paper label of Bruce Fox with the handwritten number of issue "41017".
Excellent vintage condition; distressed finish on background believed to be intentional and original.
