The Dala horse originated in the late 1500s as a children's toy and have gained popularity through the years and have now become a national symbol of Sweden.

This is a charming large hand painted Swedish Dala horse by Nils Olsson. The detail is incredible, and the condition is good vintage. It has an older fabric Maker's mark sticker underneath, indicting probably Mid Century.
These would be great in a child's room or even as a whimsical addition to your colorful bookcases.
