Fashion prints by the leading iconic mid-century designers have become highly collectible and increasingly more difficul to find with the passage of time. This image is in pristine crisp condition. It features an evening ensemble that is a showstopper for sure. The tiered caped design is a charcoal gray/black layered dress with a full dramatic style. Note the gathering at the waisline and the irregular ankle length hemline. We can only imagine how wonderful it was to wear and be seen in. This is a vintage clothing collector's dream! The design is illustrated and signed by Rene Gruau who worked for many of the iconic 20th century designers and is celebrated for his strong graphic styling and bold use of color.
