Stunning vintage Showa Era Japanese 4-panel hand painted Byobu (folding screen), depicting Autumn Festival Scene by the Bridge over a river, people, trees and mountains, on the gold background. Signed and sealed by artist. Watercolor, gouache and ink on gold leaf style paper. Silk border. Lacquered black wood frame with engraved copper corners and medallions, showing age patina. Paper on back. Detailed. Japan, Showa Era, circa 1960s. Nearly excellent condition - minor age wear overall, small water spots on paint visible during close inspection, strong hinges, clean, sturdy.
