This classical revival jug features deeply sculpted acanthus leaves, scrolls, grape clusters, and expressive Bacchus mask medallions, all heightened by the luminous glaze that pools beautifully in the recesses. The handle terminates in a figural motif characteristic of Ridgway’s most ornate work.

The original pewter lid remains intact, adding both function and authenticity. Impressed Ridgway mark to underside.

Why It’s Special:
Most relief-molded Ridgway jugs appear in brown, buff, or cobalt glazes. This seafoam celadon tone is exceptionally scarce and dramatically enhances the sculptural depth and collector appeal.
