This tray Features an inlaid design of a horse racing theme. Three jockeys on horses are neck to neck in a race at the Derby. Couroc of Monterey California employed master craftsman to make these black shiny phenolic trays. This horse racing inlay is with brass and various other resins and even crushed stone. This is a very hard to find design for Couroc trays and is a great tray for display or for serving when entertaining your guests. Whether you are a Couroc collector or horse enthusiast this is a fabulous tray and was part of a very limited run so very hard to find. The tray has very minimal scuffs or scratches it’s shiny and striking. The original gold sticker is still on the back, with cleaning suggestions and other identifying information. The master craftsmen, figured out how to fuse, shells, coins, woods and metals into the satin black phenolic. Couroc trays are impervious to alcohol, and boiling water and even flames. If you put a boiling pot of water on tray it won’t cause burn marks or stain the phenolic. These trays should be Washed with mild soap and water.

I have been a decades long collector of Couroc trays long before it became fashionable to collect Couroc, and I have happily observed the value of these trays increase significantly year over year over the past decade. Couroc trays are much harder to find now due to the high demand by enthusiasts & serious collectors.
