Excellent Showa Era vintage Japanese 4-panel painted silk Byobu (folding screen), depicting a peaceful spring landscape with mountains, river, pine and blossoming cherry trees, a man walking on a bridge, and a water farm. Signed by artist in ink. Watercolor, gouache and ink on silk. Silk border. Lacquered wood frame with engraved copper corners and medallions, showing age patina. Paper on back. Detailed. Japan, Showa Era, circa 1960s. Excellent condition - no damage to the painting nor back, minor age wear overall, strong hinges, clean, sturdy.
