The lithograph print poster is published by Poster Originals #47, printed in Italy by SO.GRA.RO. - Roma, in 1967 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition at The Cordier & Ekstrom Inc. Gallery in New York City. It features an artwork image originally created by Lindner in 1966 titled " Ice ". The original artwork " Ice " is held in the permanent collection of The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.

Richard Linder ( 1901 - !978 ) was a German born American painter of Jewish descent. His Avant - Garde Pop Art style images used the sexual symbolism of advertising and investigated definitions of gender roles in the media. In the oeuvre he created of urban energy and eroticism of the self styled heroes and heroines of the unruly 1960's and 1970's, his unusual individual Pop Art vibrant pieces stand on their own as highly creative and expressive genuinely unique artworks.

The Cordier & Ekstrom Inc. Gallery founded by Swedish born Arne Ekstrom, opened on Madison Avenue in New York City in 1959. Operating with a reciprocal agreement with Daniel Cordier, gallery owner in Paris. Ekstrom became known for idiosyncratic and far ranging installations in which art and literature often went hand in hand. He had a keen eye for the new, and for fostering the talents of younger artists. The gallery exhibited the works of many well known Avant - Garde artists of the time including Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray, Isamu Noguchi, Richard Lindner, and Romare Bearden.

The rare out print Mid Century Modern framed lithograph print Pop Art exhibition poster measures 19 3/4" W X 25 3/4" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modernist matte brushed finish black metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " condition consistent with age and light signs of handling..
