There’s just something about blue-and-white earthenware that makes an elegant, yet bold statement and above all seems to work with any style. This cutie is looking for a new home, yours perhaps? It’s a contemporary vase that I picked up sometime in the early 1990s, so not vintage but lovely, nonetheless. The blue hue is paler than traditional indigo blue white pieces, which gives it a softer look-and-feel. The lyrical motif consists of assorted images of flowers, shoots and tendrils with a whimsical scroll and shell border on the lip and base. It stands 12½” high; lip diameter 4½”; base diameter 5¼”; width 12"; circumference taken from the center 24”; weight 4.4 lbs.; crafted from highly glazed earthenware; single person makers mark on the bottom. Should you desire to place a live plant in it, there is drainage hole in the center. In pristine condition with no use wear. From contemporary to transitional and anywhere in between, this beauty will add style and charm wherever placed!
