Here we have an adorable antique wicker Barbola funeral basket. Unfortunately it does have missing gesso. PLEASE examine the photos. The losses are worse on one side. Can be displayed with one side facing out with missing only the tip of one leaf. This kind of patina doesn’t bother me as I don’t mind signs of age. However, if you’re looking for a perfect pristine basket this isn’t it.
Measurements are 20 inches tall and the handle is 10 inches wide at the widest point. The basket itself is 5.75 inches tall and 5 inches wide across the top and approximately 3.5 inches across the bottom.
Structurally strong with all original paint. This is an absolutely darling old basket, perfectly lovely for any collection… thanks for looking!!!
