Antique mother of pearl inlaid lacquered presentation / keepsake box that was used in the presentation of a miniature, medal or small devotional item.

- The bottom of the box is slightly warped from age and does not sit perfectly flush and as such there … moreThe bottom of the box is slightly warped from age and does not sit perfectly flush and as such there is a small gap around the sides and front where clasp is when closed. Base shows rubbing, especially along the edges along with old inventory label. Lacquered surface shows scuffing, rubbing to edges of box lid. MOP inlay is intact, luminous and securely set. Inside: Spring loaded catch is intact, original silk pad is intact albeit a bit faded from age with the opposing side showing paper loss.
