Offered is a staved Teak wood carving / charcuterie / cheese board designed by Jens H. Quistgaard for Digsmed in the early 1960s and made in Langå, Denmark at the Trævarefabrik workshop of Richard Nissen.
Made from dense end grain wood, it has a carve-out and magnet to hold a knife in place, and two triangular incisions on the under surface that make it possible to hang and display on a wall when not in use. It has 4 rubber feet to stabilize when in use and protect from sliding while cutting. Stamped "Digsmed Denmark and 003" inside their Viking helmet logo.
It measures 12.5" x 12.5" by 1.25", 1.75" tall with feet.
