The pair features sleek, stylized deer appearing to scale a mountain or cliff form, created using geometric shapes. They feel Art Deco–inspired while still working beautifully in modern, mid-century, or eclectic interiors. The glossy black glaze gives them a sculptural, modern presence on a shelf. They feel graphic but still playful. I love the masculinity of the black paired with the warm, organic animal form. Please note that one of the deer is missing an ear, which is shown clearly in several photos. I chose to leave it as-is so that you can view the condition transparently. When displayed in use, the small imperfection is not visible and does not detract from the overall look (shown with books in the second photo). They also appear to be filled with sand or a sand-like material, which was commonly done to add weight and stability for functional bookend use. See less
