A "Summer Days" flower vase by Swedish artist Ulrica Hydman-Vallien (1938-2018) for Kosta Boda. Three blue flowers with green stems are depicted growing from a black pot and against a white background on this glass vase. A thick line outlines the floral scene. A Kosta Boda sticker is affixed to the front and the vase is marked to the underside.
Ulrica Hydman Vallien specialized in stained glass and spent some time working for Kosta Boda. She was one of only 50 artists to be selected in designing pieces for British Airways. Today, her work in found in museums worldwide, including the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Detroit Institute of Art, and more.
