A 2008 monoprint by the American artist Ed Funk (1953-2013). Layers of vibrant colors in abstract shapes contrast against a white background in this colorful work. Signed, dated, and numbered 1/1 to the lower edge, the work is displayed in a silver tone metal frame with a white mat.
Ed Funk graduated from Herron School of Art and Design in 1988. In 1995, Funk purchased Dolphin Papers, an art supply store that was located in Fountain Square. Funk helped to establish First Fridays in the area and is remembered as encouraging other artists in his community, despite their skill level.
