Super rare piece of Pewabic pottery in the form of an ashtray. This octagonal shaped ashtray is simply stunning. Iridescent gold glazing is a shimmering mix with glossy Tiffany colored turquoise on this early Pewabic ashtray. It appears hand formed and would be an asset to any collection. The famous pubic embossed stamp is intact and underneath.
Founded in 1903, the studio is known for its iridescent glazes, some of which grace notable buildings such as the Shedd Aquarium and Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
