True to form, "Market Scene" is much like his other paintings that typically depicted everyday activities in a realistic style, capturing moments like women doing laundry, people in conversation outside cottages, or families in a garden. It is framed in a gilt wood gold frame with plenty of carved and elaborate designs itself. There is a write up about the piece on the backside.
