A design classic from the Bauhaus era by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret. In 1928, they jointly designed the LC 1 tubular steel chair.
The open tubular steel frame is upholstered in thick black full-grain leather (vegetable-tanned cowhide) for both the seat and backrest, giving the chair a sleek and transparent silhouette.
The backrest is designed with a pivot point in the center, allowing it to move and adapt flexibly to the user's posture.
This design is a beautiful example of the Bauhaus's minimalist design language, which prioritized function while simultaneously paving the way for a "new" elegance. This piece has an attribution mark,
