designer: johann joachim kaendler (1706 - 1775) chief sculptor at the meissen manufactory from 1742 to 1775. He is the most famous modeller meissen manufactory ever had and created famous series such as shepherd figurines, comedian's children, gardener children (with acier), paris town criers (with reinicke and meyer) , gallant figurines, etc. Design of models 2015 + 2020 around 1753 manufactory: meissen dating: made 2nd half of 20th century material: hand-made, multicolored porcelain, glossy finish size: height: 39,0 cm / 11.22 in 37,5 cm / 14.76 in width: 20,0 cm / 7.87 in 19,0 cm / 7.48 in depth: 15,0 cm / 5.90 in 12,5 cm / 4.92 in underglaze blue meissen crossed sword mark of 20th century / first quality year's sign 1968 model numbers 2015 + 2020 / former's number 130 bibliography: thomas & sabine bergmann, meissen figures, model numbers series - animals, erlangen germany 2017, cat.-no 3810 on page 286 and cat.-no 3814 on page 288. Condition: very good this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
