The … Read more Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown deep pink over white, and gold flecks Italian art glass bird sculpture. The figure is documented to the Salviati company. I have another in orange (currently listed) with the Salviati label, so this is 100% confirmed. The bird, or duck, is flapping its wings like it wants to take off flying, or just landed on the branch. The color fades from a deep pink to white at the end of the tail, in an ombre or "Sommerso" technique. The piece is profusely covered in gold leaf throughout. It stands on a large tree branch with leafs, also filled with gold. Would make a great display piece on any coffee table, credenza or mantel. Showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures: 10 1/2" tall x 7" long x 5 1/2" wide.
