Bureau Ministre Pierre Guariche for Meurop is part of the Bridge–Conseil collection, dating from around 1962, featuring an exotic Formica top and a black metal frame – in very good condition. This Bureau Ministre belongs to the Bridge–Conseil collection developed by Pierre Guariche during his tenure as artistic director at Meurop in the early 1960s. This professional line was created for modern workspaces and is characterised by its light construction and functional elegance. It represents the largest and most expensive version of the model, likely produced in small quantities. The combination of the warm Formica wood pattern and the slender black metal frame reflects the search for elegance within industrial production. The twin drawer units provide a balance between functionality and refined lines. Because Meurop exported less than companies such as Ahrend or Knoll, production numbers remained low, and the model was manufactured only from about 1962 to 1964. Many desks ended up in corporate interiors and were rarely preserved, making an original and well-kept example increasingly scarce. Dimensions: 177 × 71 × 74 (H) cm / 69.7 × 28 × 29.1 (H) in. Source: Pierre Guariche – Delphine Jacob, Lionel Blaisse, Aurélien Jeauneau, Norma Éditions 2021, pp. 176–180 (“La collaboration avec Meurop”), 1963. The condition of this desk is very good and fully original. The Formica top shows light wear consistent with age and has no structural damage. The metal frame is sturdy and well preserved. All drawers open; the keys are no longer present. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
