Beautiful jewelry box in thuya burl with straight wood marquetry, an ornate brass cartouche inlaid with a stone on the lid.

Box made of solid wood, veneered in thuya burl, framed with wood marquetry and a brass insert.
The motif on the lid is a cartouche, a plaque that can be personalized to engrave initials, for example. The cartouche's edges are scalloped, decorated, and adorned with scrolling foliage and 12 white stone inlays.
Elongated box, rectangular in shape with a slightly domed top and rounded corners.
Double opening for 360° display of the contents. The lid opens traditionally from the top, and the front panel tilts forward, revealing a padded blue silk-lined interior.
Opens with gilt brass hinges.
