Nice modern Art Deco design needlepoint French tapestry entirely hand embroidered with needlepoint method with wool on the cotton foundation. This is a richly colored needlepoint tapestry featuring an abundant, almost explosive arrangement of stylized foliage and blossoms. The composition is dense and dynamic, combining warm tones—deep reds, golds, ochres, and burgundies—with softer accents of cream, pink, and grey. The floral forms overlap and cascade across the surface, creating a vivid sense of movement and depth. The background alternates between darker shades and vertical color bands that enhance the tapestry’s dramatic structure. In the lower right corner appears the monogram and signature of Hervé Lelong, indicating the original design. In the lower left, you can see the symbol of the Robert Four workshop, identifying the atelier that produced the piece. Together, these markings situate the tapestry within the tradition of mid-20th-century French decorative arts, known for their bold botanical motifs and meticulous craftsmanship. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
