It Is Completely Hand Made … Read more This is an Absolutely Beautiful & Very Fine Quality Antique English Solid Sterling Silver Inkwell. It Is Completely Hand Made With Fine Hand Chased Floral , Rococo & Other Classic Mid Victorian Era Style Decorated Features. The Ink Reservoir is Also Made Out of Deep Hand Cut Crystal Rendered in the Form of a Lotus. It has the Documented Makers Initials E K R - Edward Ker Reid - In Business from Approx. 1855 to 1874. Other Hallmarks Include The Lion Passant Confirming its Solid Sterling Silver Content, The Panther Head Verifying London, Queen Victoria Profile And And The " k" Date Letter Confirming that it was Made in 1865. Note that the Hinged Silver Top of the Ink Reservoir and The Base Both Bear the Hallmarks ( See Last 2 Photographs ). It is in Excellent Condition - No Damage or Repairs - Lightly Tarnished.

The Base has a Substantial Solid Sterling Silver Weight of 115.43 Grams / 3.712 Troy Ounces.
