A lively and expressive mid-century landscape that captures the rhythmic undulation of the countryside, painted in oil onto canvas board.

The composition presents golden fields that meet a glistening blue river that winds through lush green pastures. Two modest cottages rest on a sunlit slope to the left, their earthy tones anchoring the composition amidst the sweeping expanse of colour.

Painted in a loose, confident hand, the artist has employed bold brushstrokes and gestural layering to evoke the vitality of nature rather than a literal depiction. The palette is rich yet harmonious: yellows, greens, blues, and touches of pink convey the shifting light of a late afternoon sky.
