Offering a vintage Stangl Terra Rose art pottery plate.
The plate is in the shape of an apple, with a hand-applied leaf and stem design visible at the top.
It features a vibrant hand painted green glaze with metallic highlights.
These items were produced by Stangl Pottery in Trenton, New Jersey, between the 1940s and 1963.
Each piece is unique due to variations in shape and the hand-applied glaze.
Stangl used various high-quality, hand-applied glazes in the Terra Rose line, which were fired on terracotta stoneware. The specific type is often referred to as a majolica glaze.
