Cylindrical in form, it is constructed of metal—likely copper or brass—and decorated using the traditional cloisonné technique in which thin metal wires create compartments filled with colored enamel. The exterior features a dominant turquoise blue ground with dense scrollwork and floral medallions depicting white and green blossoms set against red or brown backgrounds. The lid displays similar flower motifs, and the interior and underside are finished in a solid blue enamel.
