A vintage Italian maiolica cream and sugar set in the “Casolare” pattern by Corso deI Fiori, hand painted circa 1980s–1990s. The tin-glazed earthenware bodies are decorated with a stylized Italian mission landscape in warm ochre and manganese tones with cobalt linework and scrolling border motifs.
The forms retain their original hand-pulled handles and domed lid with painted finial. The underside markings are consistent with Corso de Fiori production from the period, noted for small-batch, hand-decorated tableware influenced by Tuscan rural architecture.
An uncommon pattern, rarely seen as a matched service, representative of late 20th century boutique maiolica workshops.
