Impressive 16" tall ovoid shaped vase by Zanesville Pottery. Horizontal ribs and variegated coloring. Molded not thrown. Typical cream glaze with tan underglaze showing through. This is an uncommon size for this style. Excellent condition. The vase is 16" tall and 9" diameter at the widest5.25" diameter base. The neck opening is 6.125" diameter. The wall thickness is from 3/8" to 1/2" thick. Substantial piece of American Commercial Pottery. This style is often referred to as "HOMESPUN" or "STONEAGE". Not Marked. Circa 1940s - 1950s. No cracks, chips, breaks, hairlines or crazing.
