Unique and period-typical ceramic plate designed by the iconic Swedish ceramicist Anna-Lisa Thomson 1947-1949.
A very old rustic beauteful vintage fruit bowl in a soft shape with green beautiful leaves in a nordic design by Upsala Ekeby.
The platter is both a functional serving piece and an artistic collectible – perfect as a fruit bowl, centerpiece, or decorative detail in a stylish home.
Anna-Lisa Thomson's style is characterized by nature-inspired shapes, soft lines, and artistic glazing. She was a pioneer in Swedish ceramics, and her works are highly sought after today.
Upsala-Ekeby AB was a Swedish company founded in 1886 and became known for its production of ceramics, glass and porcelain.
During the 1910s, Upsala-Ekeby began to hire artists to create more beautiful everyday goods, which led to an increase in the popularity and status of their products.
The company continued to produce ceramics and other products until 1977, when the factory in Uppsala was closed. This piece has an attribution mark,
