This exquisite 1930s Queen Anne–style cocktail cabinet is a true showpiece—an exceptional example of period craftsmanship and a rare find for collectors of fine vintage furniture. Beautifully and professionally restored, it stands in superb condition, with every detail thoughtfully preserved to honour its original elegance.
The exterior is finished in rich burr walnut, showcasing the dramatic swirls and depth of the grain. The cabinet doors are adorned with ornate Chinese-inspired brass key plates and decorative hinge covers, each engraved with delicate floral and leaf motifs. Below, the hand-carved apron displays an intricate scrolling leaf design, all raised on graceful cabriole legs typical of the Queen Anne silhouette.
Opening the cabinet reveals a beautifully light maple-lined interior, creating a striking contrast to the darker exterior. Inside are two glass display shelves, a mirrored back panel and a pull-out mirrored base—perfect for preparing cocktails with style. The reverse of each door features small glass-fronted gallery shelves and the original metal holders, still equipped with vintage red-topped cocktail sticks—an especially charming detail seldom found intact today. Two small drawers at the base provide discreet storage for bar tools, napkins, or accessories.
This piece effortlessly captures the glamour of 1930s cocktail culture. One can imagine guests in satin evening gowns and tuxedos gathering around it, sipping martinis, and enjoying the golden age of home entertaining. Today, it makes a magnificent statement in both traditional and contemporary interiors—equally suited to displaying fine glassware, storing premium spirits, or serving as a centrepiece for luxurious hosting.
A timeless and stylish addition to any home, this set is perfect for those who appreciate mid-century design, as well as interior designers looking to bring its elegance into their projects.
