Large fish platter.
Piece in the Digoin-Sarreguemines style.
Slightly curved rectangular piece.
Ochre in color, a blend of yellow and warm orange, a color that existed as early as the 17th century.
Often fashionable in the 19th, 20th, and even today in the 21st century.
with its incised zoomorphic fish motif.
Originally a slightly concave fish platter to collect cooking juices, it can easily be repurposed if you don't eat fish.
Having been born under the sign of Pisces, I often buy fish-shaped tableware; this platter was a long-time centerpiece on my table, filled with fruit. It can also be used as a large catchall or hung on the wall like a picture.
A minor flaw, see the second-to-last photo.
