Exceptional mid-20th-century French tapestry woven on Jacquard looms in Halluin stitch with wool and cotton. Inspired by François Boucher, it depicts a gentleman presenting a bird to two ladies in a scenic setting with flowers, trees, and a river. The tapestry bears the "hal" mark and fleur-de-lys. Elaborate borders feature floral bouquets, lances, musical instruments, and flame motifs. Striking colors of red, pink, orange, yellow, blue, green, and beige. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
