Gilded in fine gold with a primer of Armenian red bole. The interior is centered by a fabric decorated with embroidered small flowers. In good condition, despite minor losses consistent with a 17th-century date, it comes from a Milanese collection.

Of Lombard origin, this fine 17th-century Baroque frame is sculpted and carved with foliage; the depth of the pronounced scrolls is enhanced by the dark silver oxide finish of the cartocci, the ornamental motifs depicting leaves with curled, curled tips. See less
