This large vase is an Art Nouveau piece by Charles Maes, produced in Sint-Amandsberg, Belgium, around 1905-1909. Skillfully crafted, it features three handles that curve around its elongated neck. The ceramic is thick and dense, glazed in a deep, nuanced blue with touches of terracotta tending towards green in places. It is a striking Art Nouveau ceramic piece, with an original and masterful form.
This blue vase, in the 1900 style, is a good size and in very good condition. It bears maker's marks on the underside.
10-18 cm in diameter, 29 cm in height.
