An iconic, rare, and beautiful true mid-century modern dining room set—consisting of a coffee table and two matching armchairs/lounge chairs in the british windsor style—is offered here.
* original design by lucian ercolani for ercol in england in the 1950s *
* these are exceptionally elegant pieces of furniture of the highest british quality and craftsmanship—most likely made of solid elm, but possibly also beech, and finished with an antique brown stain and lacquer.
* inspired by traditional windsor style.
* organic, refined design with rounded corners and edges, and tapered legs characterize this extraordinary living room seating set.
* the lounge chairs—ercol model 472—have slender spindles/spokes and organically curved armrests that flow elegantly and seamlessly into the high back.
* * the high seating comfort of the chairs is supported by the high-quality seat cushions - with a particularly beautiful, traditional cottage country house pattern in the homely color deep green. The cushions can be conveniently buttoned under the seat – a characteristic feature of these ercolani chairs.
* the living room table has a gently oval-shaped tabletop with a practical storage compartment underneath.
* we can easily imagine this exceptional seating ensemble in front of a fireplace, on the veranda, in a conservatory, or on a patio…

condition
the seating set is in excellent vintage condition with – in our opinion – a very attractive patina on the finish, with minor, typical signs of age on the wood surface. It is free of cracks. Missing parts and deep damage to the wood.
+ the wood shows occasional signs of wear, including minor to medium surface scratches, uneven color, dents, and a few small nicks.
+ the paint wear/unevenness is mostly located on the corners and edges, i.e., in the high-wear areas. These are usually not defects in the wood, even if they sometimes appear to be, but simply paint wear from the antique finish.
+ the tabletop shows slightly more signs of age and use than the chairs, such as paint wear, surface scratches, and very small nicks.
\.\.\.\. All signs of use are only slightly more visible upon close inspection and are not significant. \.\.\.\.
+ the pictures are part of the condition /offer and show the overall condition and the most significant flaws. We therefore ask you to carefully examine the pictures above.
+ we have cleaned and treated the furniture with wood care products, so it is ready for immediate use. Ready for use and usable again for a long time without any maintenance/cleaning required on the part of the user. This piece has an attribution mark,
