This is a hand-thrown studio pottery vase or planter with an organic, coastal-inspired design.
Appearance
• Rounded, slightly tapered form
• Finished in a soft seafoam / pale aqua glaze
• Decorated with layered horizontal bands that resemble wrapped rope or coiled clay
• A row of raised oval “pebble” or shell-like appliqués encircles the middle
• The rim is irregular and softly undulating, emphasizing its handmade character
Base
• The underside is unglazed with carved initials/marks, typical of an individual potter rather than a factory maker
Style & Use
It has a natural, beachy aesthetic — almost evoking a weathered buoy or sea-worn vessel — and would be used for dried florals, a small plant, or as a sculptural decorative piece.
