Rare architectural Modernist design fireplace insert grate, constructed of hand wrought iron, and steel. This example is in very good, original condition, structurally sound, sturdy and ready to use. The surface shows some cosmetic wear, notable visually evident remains of decorative decals once applied to the surface. The metal could easily be resprayed if you prefer a more polished look.
Most fireplace grated are more tradition in design, Mid Century examples are not often seen on the market.
