Stunning, teardrop shaped vase, made of bone china, by Mikasa in Narumi Japan. Presented in the Kutani Bird pattern, the black background provides a nice drop for the pop of color presented. Feathered, peacocks rest on the branches of blooming cherry blossom. The birds appear in green turquoise and fuchsia amongst the white blooming cherry blossoms, florals of fuchsia and red decorate the body of the vase. The inside is a crisp white glaze adding a nice contrast — lovely vase for a modern chinoiserie vibe
