They depict the "Piazzetta … Read more Four optical prints by Giovan Battista Brustolon based on a late 18th-century drawing by Antonio Canal. They depict the "Piazzetta dell'Arsenale," the "Rialto Bridge," the "Church of the Redeemer," and "Piazza San Marco." Designed to be viewed at night with a backlight, they are mounted in a box with colored canvas cutouts. Notes on the back of the prints are included. The front edges have been blackened, and the inscriptions on two of them reveal the names of the engraver and painter. The illumination effect was recreated with LED lighting. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
