When opened, the drop-front reveals a hinged rectangular mirror that slides back and forth to adjust the viewing angle. On either side, two identical doors open to provide additional storage space and increase the table's usable surface area.
The front features drawers adorned with the same wood veneer, the geometric composition repeating on each drawer for visual harmony. There are two fully functional drawers and three false drawers concealing the upper compartments.
The dressing table also includes a sliding writing surface with a knob, covered in green leather embellished with a gilt vignette, adding an elegant and practical touch. The sides of the piece echo the marquetry motif of the front, ensuring decorative continuity throughout the room. The piece rests on four gently curved legs, adorned at the top with scrolled bronze mounts and finished with small embellishments, highlighting the delicacy of the work. with its refined lines, meticulous marquetry, and numerous features, this dressing table captivates with the quality of its craftsmanship and its period charm.
